Bodywork
(Full length play, cast of 5)
Maia, a young woman who suffers from inexplicable chronic pain, becomes a test patient for a radical new surgery that would switch out her current body for a healthy, “pain-free” body. With everyone around her claiming to know what’s best for her body, Maia struggles to decide whether she is willing to leave behind the body she’s known her whole life.
Bodywork is a dark comedy (full-length) play about chronic pain, women’s bodies, and the connection between physical and emotional health.
